I need some changes in my life. I'm not particularly content with it but I know I'm blessed.
Well anyway, this year has been great. If you know me, you should know that I love going to concerts. This year alone, I got to catch Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil, Circa Survive, Coheed and Cambria, Memphis May Fire, Crossfaith, Enter Shikari, Bring Me The Horizon and Ra Ra Riot. It's crazy, really. Cause I admit it, I am really really a fan of all of the bands that I mentioned above (except for Crossfaith & Coheed and Cambria, I like them, but I can't consider myself as their fan)
Sleeping With Sirens, Kellin, my baby (lol). Well as they were performing, right after they played Roger Rabbit if I'm not mistaken, he actually pointed at me and my friends and said "thanks for wearing those tshirts". I was wearing Anthem Made. To get noticed by Kellin Quinn himself, wow that's definitely a dream come true. I went loco, obviously. The inner fan girl in me took over. Couldn't care less about the people around me. I was. happy. It'd be nicer if I had the chance to meet them in person. I just want a picture with the band members. (should've gone the airport to welcome them here but- ok no point in regretting). Oh yes, Justin Hills looked fine as heck. Jack too. Honestly, I can't recall a thing from the night cause I was/still am disbelief. I got to see my favourite band up close.
Pierce The Veil. They performed first. They performed "May These Noises Startle You In Your Sleep" first, followed by "Hell Above". Boy, I tell you, the crowd went crazy (screw you guys) I almost fell but thank God for my friends, they took care of me. To see Vic Fuentes singing right in front of your eyes is an insane sight. I've been a fan of them since, I don't know, zaman Yeah Boy & Doll Face. Tony Perry, Mike Fuentes, Jaime Preciado, you guys were absolutely amazing. It would be nice if I got the chance to at least hug you guys, but sigh you can't always have what you want. Should have, should have gone to McD Bukit Bintang before the concert because you guys were just there. Could have easily met you guys but noo. The last song they performed was 'King For A Day' that's when Kellin Quinn popped out of nowhere. Zuliana and I went crazy. Wait, crazy is an understatement. We went.. yeah..
Circa Survive, well, it was a last minute plan. Went with Suraya. Bought the ticket at the door itself. Got to sit at the most front. Oh! I got to take a picture with Anthony Green and that is INSANE. Such a friendly and pleasant guy. He really is. I froze when I saw him. Took a picture with him and I looked really ugly in the picture hahaha. Well, luck was on our side, we got to stand at the most front. Anthony's stage presence is (y)(y). I gotta admit, I came unprepared :( Failed to singalong to most of their songs but when they played Get Out, that was when I went crazy. The crowd went wild too. His vocals are top notch.
Memphis May Fire. If it weren't for my college friend, I would not be there because I went to the show straight from college. And my friend, who organized the show gave me a free ticket so thank you. Seeing Matty Mullins in front of your eyes is a wonderful, wonderful sight, if I may say so myself. The crowd was crazy, thank God I was at the most front I didn't really suffer? But in the end the crowd forced me to go to the side hahaha and there was like a mini platform. So I actually sat down. That was nice. After the show, thanks to Arip, he called me and asked me to hurry. I got to take a picture with the band members!!! (yayayayayayay) I actually hugged Matty! Yayayayayyayay. Kellen, you gorgeous, gorgeous guy. Sigh.
Enter Shikari and Bring Me The Horizon-
Need I say more? Frikkin BMTH. The front man of Enter Shikari is one crazy dude. He literally jumped from the uh.. what do you call that, balcony? Go search on Youtube, I'm sure the video's there or instagram even. I was really happy that night. Really was. I had troubles getting in tho because they checked our ICs and I did not bring mine, I brought the copy of my old IC. So the guy was like 'sorry mate you need the real thing' lol he tested my patience, that's for sure. I would mind less if no one was waiting for me but my friends actually waited for me and I felt really really guilty! Sigh. I had to log i to my student portal to show him proof that I am 19? Whot da. Well.. anyway.. when ES played Gandhi Mate, Gandhi, I was stoked and could not sit still, of course. Was really, really amazing. It'd be nicer if I were closer to the stage tho but nevermind. Oh and I got their setlist.
BMTH. Oliver Sykes is perfect. Sorry, I know I sound like a typical girl who only likes the band for the looks but NO. Haha I love the band. Oli's face is just a magnificent plus. Well, Oli improved. He definitely did. The first song they played was 'Can You Feel My Heart'. My friend and I tried to go in front but we failed miserably :< Well it's all cool because their sound engineer was just right in front of us and he is such a cool guy. Good looking too! They played about 12 songs if I'm not mistaken. Geram cause when I talk about Rockaway, it makes me miss the show even more. So I choose to not elaborate. Sorry non existent readers :(
BUT I AM PSYCHED TO TELL YOU ABOUT YESTERDAY CAUSE IT JUST HAPPENED AND I AM STILL IN AWE.
I frikkin got to see Ra Ra Riot live! :') I don't know why, but I love them. I really do. I guess they were there for me when I was at my absolute worst, in 2011. It was a hard year and their songs kind of helped to keep me sane. Listened to them when I was studying late at night, made me feel calm. I never thought, never thought that they would come here. Thank you The Bee. When I found out that they were coming here I was excited as heck. I once tweeted them 'come to Malaysia' and they actually replied 'soon, in the fall hopefully' AND THEY WERE NOT LYING. They played 18 songs in total. And they were really great live. I'm in love. Lol. I like Wes and Milo and Matt. I might have a slight girl crush on Rebecca. I got to take pictures with them. and I received a poster. I guess the girl could tell that I am a big fan haha from my expressions and reactions I guess. The only regret I have is that I did not hug them. Ooh it'd be so nice if I actually got to hug them? Well, I could sing along to all of their songs. When they played Can You Tell. Whoa I was beyond excited. Didnt expect them to play Too Dramatic, but they did and I was happy. I went with Zuliana.
I might update in detail later, I don't know. All I know is that I'm really satisfied.
Next: Two Door Cinema Club, Tegan and Sara and Franz Ferdinand!
